I read so many other blogs and one of the comments I hear over and over again is how warm it still is where people live. WELL...I am freezing!! Seriously. Here is what I wore to walk the dog today. Leggings/jeans over them/t-shirt with sweater over it/ 2 pairs of socks/hiking boots/North Face coat/ mitts/hat/scarf. And I was cold. I refuse to complain about winter though. I have decided to just buy new boots and embrace it. Newness is the only way to cope with this.
As for my random act of kindness - the night janitor is so good to me. He vacuums my class every single night. And we kind of have this secret code between us. I just have to put a few things up on tables when I leave at the end of the day and he knows that I want that particular area cleaned more thoroughly than everywhere else. I come in the next day and it's done. So, I'm getting him a gift card from a store I know he likes.

I hope that wherever you are, you are warm. If you are really warm, even when you go outside, then I am totally envious. If you haven't already guessed, winter is my least favorite season. I am, however, still going to embrace it, no matter what.
Hi there! Saw you over at Farley's, so glad to meet you! Love your blog by the way, it's so cute. I love the movie, Brave!! Can't believe you live where it is that cold, I would have guessed the arctic had I not seen Canada! Seriously, I would have to hibernate if I lived there!

Hello Mrs Sykes
Loved your currently. You left me a note, so I came to check you out. I usually get breakfast or something for the custodian on our hall. Think your custodian will love the gift card.
ReplyDeleteI'm not too jealous of the cold, but I am slightly jealous that you have snow. Anytime it snows here it turns into ice which isn't good. I think today our high was 70.
If it makes you feel any better, it is freezing here too.....I hibernated all day by the fire, started my Christmas cards, drank tea, read.....perfect day ! Enjoy your visit with your girl , I just had to pull my coat and scarf over my pjs to pick my daughter up at a party brrrrrr
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness! Your blog design is super fun! You go get yourself those boots and embrace winter!!

Wanna trade places? It was in the 70s here today and I ♥ cold weather! I would not mind being all bundled up to go outside. I can wear shorts and flip flops here. :( But go on and get your new boots, if you're gonna freeze you might as well look good doing it! lol
