In the midst of all that furry penguin goodness, I discovered that my kids were right into the Non Fiction/Fiction aspect of our penguin books, especially when we started writing our penguin reports. At one point, I had to bring all the non fiction penguin books to the front to sort of separate them from the made up stories and that, of course, got me thinking, so I made a helpful little poster. Non Fiction style.
If you'd like a copy, just click the pic. I'll be back later in the week with the Fiction version, still working on it.
As for Valentine's Day, I decided that we needed to follow the example set in this sweet little story.
I love this story, it's so cute! I had my kids draw names for this one, they used the hearts I made below. For the first heart, they could give it to whomever they wanted, but for the second one, they had to give it to the person whose name they had picked. So fun! I'll be back later to show you their letters. Just click on the hearts for your copy.
Need another sweet V story? This one is my all time favourite. The cover pretty much says it all.
As for this week, we are going sliding - can't wait, making our Valentine boxes and celebrating! Pics to come. I'd love to hear what you are doing for Valentine's Day.
I love Valentines too, I'm a bit tired of all the snowy stuff.......I have both of those books, so cute. I love an oldie but goodie "Brenda and Edward". We need to make our mailbags with lots of pink and glitter. I found boxes of candy hearts for 50 cents each , we will have fun with graphs, addition and then eating :). Have a great week !
ReplyDeleteSounds great Diane! I looked up Brenda and Edward, gosh it looks so cute. Thanks for letting me know about it. It sounds like your Valentine week is gonna be sugar filled just like mine:) Have fun!
DeleteI'm pinning both those books. They look VERY sweet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the freebie!
