I am always striving to be a good connector for my kids, to set the example first and show how it's done. And I always start the same way every year with the same books, The McDuff Series by Rosemary Wells. I love McDuff the dog, he reminds me of my dog for starters and so as soon as I make a connection to my own dog then I'm off and running with dog connection stories. But my kids need a lot of help knowing what to connect to, so I use Super Connectors as a way to help pinpoint what we as readers (especially beginning readers) connect to. This will give you an idea of what it looks like.
